Gold Medal Ales are produced monthly
in recognition of some of the 'greats' of history. Jackie Smith began her skydiving career with the W.R.A.C. before joing the Red Devils free fall display team in 1971. In 1973 she was the first woman to be awarded the coveted Parachute Regiment red beret. By 1978 she was competing in the World Parachuting Championships in Yugoslavia where she won a gold medal for accuracy by hitting the target dead centre 10 times out of 10, thus earning her a place in the Guinness Book of Records, as the only person, male or female to do so. |
